A WOMAN died after she was hit by a car outside a hospital on New Year’s Day.
A woman in her 50s died yesterday after being hit by a car outside the main entrance of Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan, north Wales, on January 1st.
The police are now looking for witnesses.
Sergeant Liam Morris of the Highway Patrol said: “I offer my deepest condolences to the woman’s family at this very difficult time.
“An investigation has been launched and I appeal to anyone who may have witnessed or inadvertently captured the incident on the dash cam while parked outside the hospital to contact us urgently.
“Anyone with information that could help with our investigation should contact us via online chat or on 101 with reference number 23000006433.”
North Wales Police said the incident took place on the grounds of a hospital between two car parks.
A spokesman said: “A woman unfortunately died in a traffic accident near Ysbyty Glan Clwyd on Sunday, January 1st.”
“The incident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian occurred around 8:40 pm on the hospital grounds between two car parks, near the main entrance to the hospital.”
“The pedestrian, a woman in her early 50s, sadly died as a result of her injuries on Tuesday, January 3rd.”
