TAKE Legendary Robbie Williams challenges his buddy Gary Barlow by planning his own line of wines.
Robbie wants to sell dope called Rude Rise despite the former Hellraiser not drinking in 20 years.
He has just filed a trademark application with the UK Intellectual Property Office.
The title is a reference to his biggest selling album, Rudebox.
He wants to sell wines, spirits, and even spirits using the name.
The application was filed this month and will remain valid for 10 years after being stamped.
An intellectual property lawyer who saw the documents told us: “Firstly, a trademark strengthens its ability to take action against third parties who may use the respective name in the course of trade without consent.
“The mere presence of these types of trademarks in the registry can also act as a deterrent when a third party considers using the name without their consent.”
A year ago, Gary launched his £8 organic Spanish red and white wines and later added rosé.
He said at the time: “The definition of a great evening for me is friends, laughter and good wine.
“I have been fortunate to travel for many years and experience different cultures and wines from all over the world.
“After several months of studying the process and tasting different blends, I am very proud to be launching my own line of organic wines from Spain.”
