The Old Firm Derby is one of the most intense and hotly contested matches in world football.
Both halves of the Glasgow divide have had their fair share of bragging rights, and each has had its periods of dominance over the decades.

It’s not all bad news for Celtic fans as they come out on top in the Scottish Cup.
This is the only competition in which they have won more matches and it is also the only competition in which they have more trophies.
The Hoops won 25 matches against Gers’ 18.
We are all tied in the League Cup as both clubs have won on 24 different occasions.
Only twice in the history of the “Old Firm” in the League Cup was a draw.

The Rangers win most of the historical meetings, as well as the trophy draw.
They are considered the most successful team in football with 116 trophies, 115 of them domestically.
Rangers hold the most league titles with 55 compared to Celtic’s 52.
They have also won more League Cups as they currently have 27 cups compared to Celtic’s 20.
However, as mentioned, it is Celtic who hold the most Scottish Cup trophies as they have won 40 while Rangers have only 34.
