This experience brings back those childhood feelings.

Remember when you were a kid and your parents took you on a trolley ride around Grant’s farm? Or when you were riding the train in the city museum, making a slow but incredibly fun loop? You still have a chance to enjoy the same experience as an adult. Like most events designed to indulge you in childhood nostalgia and entertain your adult self at the same time, there is alcohol involved. Next week, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, St. Louis Union Station (1820 Market Street, 314-923-3900 stlouisunionstation.com) will spend the night cap of the North Pole.

Eager commuters will take off on real trains from Union Station, sipping on beer, wine and hot chocolate laced with tea. Once in the decorated train cars, guests will head to the North Pole, as drinks are served in the on-board bars, and festive characters jump around. The train ride lasts 45 minutes. It starts and ends at the depot at Union Station.

Guests are encouraged to wear pajamas, ugly holiday sweaters, or any other holiday attire they are comfortable in. Seats are sold in groups of four, starting at $65.
