ERIK TEN HAG said that Jadon Sancho is making progress, but according to Eric ten Hag, he is still not ready to return to the team.
Earlier this month, Sancho was forced to train alone, with his manager suggesting he had lost his level.
Ten Hag was unable to provide an update on when Sancho might be available for selection when asked earlier this week.
He has now revealed that the winger has returned to Manchester but is not ready to return to the team.
The United boss said: “Now is not the time [for him to return to the squad] but he is progressing.
“We will see when he is ready to return to the squad. He has returned to Manchester and will start individual training.”
Sancho last played before the World Cup against Chelsea on 22 October.
He also traveled to the Netherlands during the World Championship break to train with trainers recommended by Ten Hag.
The trip was designed to help Sancho with his physical and mental health.
Sancho also stayed out of United’s warm-weather training camp in Spain to focus on his individual program.

The reason for his individual training was to help him “reorient” on the advice of boss Ten Hag.
The Red Devils have done well in his absence and have only lost once in 15 games since a 1-0 win over Wolves today.
