New images revealed to guests last week show a first look at the converted winter hotel.
The hotel is remodeled every year using the snow and ice of Sweden’s Torne River, which opens every winter but melts back in the spring.
It took six weeks to build and the temperature remains at -5°C.
The hotel has twelve suites, including a suite at Icehotel 365, which is open all year round.
This year, 24 artists worked on the creation of the hotel, including one British designer.
Robert Harding from the UK worked with Timsam Harding from Spain to create the “Closed Space” art set.
The rooms feature themes such as a Japanese garden designed by Natsuki and Shingo Saito from Japan and giant mushrooms designed by Chris Panko and Peter Hargraves from Canada.
You can book your stay for three nights from £504 including two nights in warm rooms at Icehotel 365 and one night in an ice room at Icehotel 33 plus daily breakfast.
Or you can upgrade to the Ice Suite from £586 and combine flight and hotel stays.
Also in the main hotel there is an ice bar, a cinema and exhibitions.
This may be the first ice hotel, but there are many others around the world now if you can.
In Canada, there is the Hotel de Glace, which is said to have inspired Frozen.
Back in 2014, the hotel even launched the Frozen Suite, modeled after Anna and Elsa’s rooms.
