One prediction involved the journey of humans to Mars.
“Look, we’re going to have to leave this planet eventually,” said Taylor Smith, the channel’s host.
In the 16th episode of the 27th season of The Simpsons, titled “The Margeian Chronicles”, Marge and Lisa volunteer to be among the first people to go to and live on the red planet.
Private company Exploration Inc hopes to send humans to the planet to colonize it by 2026.
By the end of the episode, mother and daughter end up on Mars by 2050.
In our world, SpaceX, led by billionaire Elon Musk, has a goal of going to Mars, assuming in the past that humans would already go to the planet, but pushed back their predictions.
Musk has long been open about his ambitions to colonize Mars.
“If we can make life on Mars self-sustaining, we will pass one of the greatest filters. This will allow us to become interstellar,” Musk wrote. Twitter In the past year.
“Earth is ~4.5 billion years old, but life is still not multi-planetary and it is extremely unclear how long it takes to become so,” he added.
Another frightening prediction made by the channel is the rise of zombies.
“This turned out to be a lot more than I thought when looking for Simpsons predictions,” Smith said.
“Someone in the writer’s room believes very strongly that this is how society will end.”
Zombie attacks have occurred in several episodes of The Simpsons over the years.
In the episode “Days of Future Future”, zombies are part of everyday society as Lisa works at a soup kitchen looking after the undead.
Is this a glimpse into a dark future? Smith suggested.

Rather than being seen as the end of society, the zombies in this episode are compared to lower class humans compared to the living.
“I hope The Simpsons never ends so they can always predict the future,” Smith said.
