The Lotto player who won the £30,000 prize almost made a HUGE mistake.
Beth Guest, 40, from the Dursleys in Gloucestershire, won the People’s Zip Code lottery on New Year’s Eve, but her ticket almost didn’t count.
The mom-of-two was shocked when she found out the winning zip code.
But she admitted that she almost canceled her ticket a few weeks ago.
Beth said, “I’m glad I didn’t do it now. I’m stunned. This is really good news.”
Fortunately, since the ticket was still valid, some of the money belongs to her, and she can spend it as she pleases.
Since her kitchen’s recent renovation has already been completed, Beth plans to update her used appliances.
She would like to invest some of the money in a local community play group she created while on maternity leave with her second son.
Beth said, “There are some pieces I’ve had my eye on that I’ve been wanting to buy for a long time, so it’ll be nice to get them.”
Postal Lottery Ambassador Matt Johnson presented Beth with her huge check for £30,000.
He said: “What a great way to end 2022 – huge congratulations to Beth and her family.”
Last year, The Sun Online named the happiest street after a whopping NINETEEN neighbors won life-changing lottery sums.
The lucky ones from Orrell, near Wigan, Lancashire, were stunned after winning £630,000 in the People’s Postcode Lottery.
The winners include three family members from the same household, a social worker, a van driver and a teaching assistant.
The unexpected cash flow came after WN5 0DN was announced as the winner of the lottery on Thursday, June 23rd.
Seventeen neighbors at Lonsdale Walk won £30,000 each, and two more winners at neighboring Silverdale Road each received £60,000 after a two-ticket game.
As a result of this win, the most people with a single zip code have received checks for the £30,000 Street Prize Lottery since the People’s Postcode Lottery began in 2005.
