EVERYONE loves a sucker, especially in a cost-of-living crisis.
But often you can spot a fake from a mile away.
However, fashion aficionado and bargain hunter Vanessa thought she hit the jackpot when she stumbled upon a £12.50 fake for a £150 UGG Ultra Minis.
She took to TikTok to get excited about the Ardene boot version. as on one foot was one shoe from a budget pair, and on the other a real UGG.
“Which one is UGG?” she signed her video.
And, speaking in the video, she said, “OK, one is UGG and the other is Ardene, what is it?”
But people were quick to comment on the clip, claiming they spotted the hoax in seconds.
“Are you kidding?” one wrote.
Another added, “You can tell the difference very easily lol.”
“100% noticeable,” insisted a third.
While someone else commented, “Is this a joke?”
“Bro, you must be joking,” laughed another.
“Sometimes you just have to shell out for quality,” someone else added.
In another video on her TikTok page, Vanessa suggested a closer look at the UGG alongside its budget alternative.
She pointed out that one of the main differences was the height of the front end – the Ardene has them higher than the UGG.
Another difference was the thickness of the sole, as well as the material used for the lining.
“But it’s the sole. Ardene are the only shoes that fit me and they don’t last long at all, very sad,” commented one of the videos.
Another added: “The Arden ones look insanely cheap…although…I would buy them to wear around the house.”
