HELEN Skelton insists that the Dancing with the Stars pros did NOT want Hamza Yassin to win the show.
The Countryfile star revealed that the dancers were cheering for Gorka Marquez to take home the Glitterball trophy.
Gorka, 32, made the show’s final three times along with Helen, 39, Alexandra Burke and Maisie Smith.
The pros are said to have backed the longtime star of the show this year to take home the prize.
Things didn’t go according to plan for the dancer, however, when the public announced 32-year-old wildlife cameraman Hamza as the winner.
The ‘Blue Peter’ star has since revealed that her professional partner supported everything to win.
The mum-of-three, joined by Gorka on Radio 5, said: “Every pro on the show was desperate for him to win and that says it all about him.
“He’s my hero of the week,” Helen added.
Speaking of Hamza’s win, she continued, “Obviously we’re happy for Hamza because he showed some amazing dances during the season.
“But Gorka and I, our reaction, you could tell how gutted we were.”
“I wasn’t angry, but I wanted Helen to finish the season with a cherry on top,” Gorka explained after fans suggested he was “furious” with the result.
“I was happy for Hamza and Jovita, they were amazing.”
This came after strict fans were concerned that Gorka might EXIT the BBC One show after reaching the final three times without a win.
As other celebrities rushed to congratulate Hamza on his victory, fans noticed that Gorka looked upset and pulled away from the crowd.
Tweeting, one viewer said, “Calling now. Gorka is going to leave Strictly until next year.”
Another intervened: “Gorka will quit,” and a third added: “Gorka looks like he’s going to nail someone on Strictly.”
Meanwhile, a fourth shared, “Poor Gorka can’t hide his disappointment at all. His face. I feel you”.
