Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Holly celebrated two years of sobriety today after revealing she’s ‘hit rock bottom’.
The 22-year-old took to Instagram to thank friends and family for their support in an emotional message.
She told her 315,000 followers, “Today marks two years since I last drank alcohol. Two years ago today I hit bottom, I was terrified.
“Of course, I didn’t think I would be where I am now, both physically and mentally.
“Since then, I have fought every day to get where I am today.
“I am so grateful to so many people for their support, encouragement and endless love.
“I will continue to learn and grow every day. I am fortunate to be able to use my voice to raise awareness and break the stigma associated with mental health.
“Send love to all who need it today and always. Day after day”.
Holly’s followers flocked to the comments to send messages of support.
One wrote: “Go on girl. Sending lots of love.”
Another commented: “Well done Holly. Huge achievement, dear.”
A third added: “So proud of you, Holly.”
The fourth put: “Excellent!”
The daughter of television chef Gordon previously opened up about being sexually assaulted twice at the age of 18, leading to a devastating battle with PTSD that saw her spend three months in a mental hospital.
The podcast host boldly spoke about her decision to quit being teetotalers, stating that alcohol and antidepressants “don’t mix at all.”
Speaking of her podcast is 21 and olderHolly said: “I went to university, studied fashion design, and I loved it. But by the second half of my first year, PTSD had hit me and I had no idea it was happening.
“I walked a lot, skipped classes because I was not at home. I didn’t enjoy it at all. I fought a lot.
“PTSD was the result of two sexual assaults when I was 18 years old. I didn’t tell anyone about it until a year later. I just buried it in a box in the back of my mind.”
