Good morning Charlotte Hawkins and Adil Ray from Britain said goodbye to the audience today in their last show before Christmas.
The duo, who regularly host ITV shows together, announced this morning (Wednesday 21 December) that this is their last show before Santa’s arrival.
Near the end of the program, Charlotte told viewers that she was taking a short break for a few days.
However, it will return to the air between Christmas and New Year.
Meanwhile, Adil presented his last show for 2022 and won’t be back until 2023.
It will remain on screens during the holiday period, albeit on Lingo’s afternoon quiz show.
As in recent years, this year Good Morning Britain will air on Christmas Day with Suzanne Reid hosting a pre-recorded edition of the show.
This Morning and Lorraine will follow suit, both from shows that were filmed earlier this month.
This year will also be the first time Loose Women will be broadcast between Christmas and New Year.
ITV Daytime boss Emma Gormley said: “It wouldn’t be Christmas on ITV Daytime without the return of our Christmas specials Good Morning Britain, Lorraine and This Morning, all returning this Christmas morning for the third year in a row.”
