Who was rapper Big Scarr?
Born Alexander Woods in Memphis, Tennessee on April 7, 2000, Scarr was one of eight siblings and grew up living with his grandmother until she died when he was just 13 years old.
Name Big Scarr reportedly stemmed from injuries he sustained when he was in a car accident at the age of 16.
Scarr was thrown through the windshield of a friend’s car during an accident and suffered several scars.
He sustained further injuries when he was shot in the thigh in 2020 and doctors were forced to remove his appendix and realign his right leg after a bullet entered his spine.
The budding musician got hooked on rap thanks to friend and fellow artist Baby K before he released his debut track “Make a Play” on YouTube in 2019.
In 2020, he signed with rap superstar Gucci Mane’s 1017 records.
His cousin is also a rapper known as Pooh Shiesty and is featured on his Big Grim Reaper mixtape which peaked at number 25 on the Billboard 200.
