Good morning Arsenal fans.
Arsenal’s medical staff set their sights on Gabriel Jesus’ return to action on 25 February.
Jesus pulled out of the game following knee surgery due to an injury he sustained during the 2022 World Cup.
But the Gunners are confident that they will return the striker before spring.
This means the Brazilian international could return to Leicester.
Meanwhile, according to manager Mikel Arteta, Arsenal will soon welcome back Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
Saka and Martinelli are expected to be ready for the Gunners’ next visit to the Premier League at West Ham on Boxing Day.
Arteta said: “They will immediately return to the rhythm, shape and form of the team.
“We are waiting for them, and they also really want to come back. I spoke to both of them.
“Gaby [Martinelli] was here today, with a big smile and great energy. He’s ready to go again. It will be a big boost for the team.”
And Arsenal started transfer negotiations with Shakhtar Donetsk star Mykhailo Mudrik.
But the Gunners are hoping Shakhtar will lower the asking price for Mudrik, which currently stands at £85m.
The winger is in talks for a deal early in the New Year, according to the Evening Standard.
But the Ukrainian giants are pricing the 21-year-old as Jack Grealish, who received a £100m release clause before joining Manchester City from Aston Villa in 2021.
However, Arsenal manager Arteta and the board of directors are confident they are ready to drop their demands on the Ukraine international.
Finally, Martinelli has reportedly extended his Emirates contract until 2027.
The winger’s current contract runs until 2024, although Arsenal have an option to extend it for another two years.
According to SPORT, the Brazilian feels comfortable at the Emirates and would like to stay for another five years.
Martinelli made an impression in North London and attracted interest from some of the world’s biggest clubs, including Barcelona.
