Lazio striker Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is reportedly set to be Arsenal’s target in January.
The north London team is believed to be seeking to steal the Serbian midfielder’s signature from under the noses of Premier League rivals.
The 39-cap international has been linked with a move to England for years, with clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester United showing interest in him.
But it looks like Arsenal is now his most likely target. underground assuming that Mikel Arteta’s team wants to win the race for him.
The Gunners tried to sign the midfielder in the summer but their £42m offer was turned down.
Lazio club president Claudio Lotito has been very vocal about his desire to keep Milinkovic-Savic at the club and has been constantly talking about how highly he is valued at the Rome club.
He recently claimed the player was worth £105m after being asked if Juventus had agreed to his transfer.
He said “I don’t have an agreement with his agent [Mateja] Kežman will sell him to Juventus in the winter.
“On the contrary, now it costs 120 million euros. [£105m]not 100 million euros [£88m]. Every month the price goes up.
However, the player’s contract expires at the end of the 2023/24 season, and then he can leave for nothing.

The price of Milinkovic-Savic is believed to have dropped as it became clear he would not be renewing his contract at the Olympic Stadium.
Reports said the Serie A side would sell him for £69m in January and just £34m in the summer.
The 27-year-old has been a key player for Lazio since joining the club in 2015.
He helped them win the Coppa Italia and was voted the club’s Player of the Season in their last two campaigns.
