An 11-year-old boy died after being hit by a van near a pub.
Police officers raced to The Lamb Inn in Hoo, East Sussex around 3:05 pm on Thursday.
The young man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
But on Saturday, he tragically died from his injuries.
According to the Sussex police, special officers support his next of kin.
A 33-year-old man from Eastbourne was arrested on suspicion of causing death by reckless driving.
He remains in custody and awaits interrogation.
The police are now questioning witnesses to the incident.
