
A three-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Nottinghamshire.
The boy was mowed down in downtown Beeston just before 9:30 am today.
The extent of his injuries remains unclear at this stage, police said.
The police detained a 79-year-old man on suspicion of inattentive driving.
A cordon has been set up at the scene near the Broxtowe City Council parking lot on Foster Avenue.
A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: “A three-year-old boy is currently being treated at the hospital.
“A 79-year-old man was detained on suspicion of driving without due care and attention.”
Anyone with information or dash cam footage is strongly advised to call 101 with Incident Number 145 of December 20th.
